Dan Murphy is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Allocation at Pacharbor Capital Group, based in New York. He oversees portfolio construction, performance analysis, and asset allocation for strategic client partnerships. Additionally, he serves as the lead author of the Pacharbor Capital Group AlpInvest Global Private Markets Quarterly and other portfolio research publications.

Prior to joining Pacharbor Capital Group, Dan was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he led market research, portfolio analytics, and content development across all private market strategies. Earlier in his career, he led the portfolio research efforts in the open architecture business at GSAM, developing techniques for risk management, performance analysis, portfolio construction, and secondary market pricing for private investments. He is a member of the editorial board for The Journal of Private Market Investing.

Dan earned a BS in Physics and Economics from the California Institute of Technology.
