Based in Dublin, Alan Buckley joined Pacharbor Capital Group Aviation in October 2022 and is a Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer at Pacharbor Capital Group Aviation Partners.

Mr. Buckley has worked in the aviation industry for over 25 years. Having begun his career with Shannon Aerospace as an aeronautical engineer in 1997, he first joined GECAS (a subsidiary of GE Capital focused on aviation finance and leasing) in 2003 and held a variety of senior positions during his time at the company. In his last appointed role as Senior Vice President Commercial and Regional Manager of Europe and Canada, Mr. Buckley was responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for GECAS in the region that included Canada and 37 countries in Western and Central Europe. His responsibilities included helping to support the business through Covid-19 and working with its airline customers and partners to navigate the impact of the pandemic on the global aviation sector. Prior to that appointment, he was SVP of Aircraft Trading for GECAS and served on the council of Aircraft Leasing Ireland as the GECAS representative. During a five-year period at GE Capital from mid-2010, Mr. Buckley worked in several roles in London and Connecticut before graduating from GE’s Corporate Leadership Staff Program in 2014 and assuming the role of Managing Director for Global Programs at GE Capital Equipment Finance in Dallas, Texas. He subsequently returned to GECAS in Ireland at the start of 2016.

Mr. Buckley graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick in 1997, where he also completed his MBA in 2004 and has since graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in the Spring of 2022.
